If the medical board appointed by the Government of Nepal recommends that a working journalist is physically or mentally disabled for service due to an accident or injury in the course of the work of the communication establishment, the relevant communication establishment shall grant such a working journalist disability status for as long as he lives for his livelihood. For this reason, he has to make available half of the monthly salary received from Khaipai every month from the fund according to Rule 27.
